It was the last day of Jack's attachment but he had to stay for one more day because of a make up for one of the days that he was absent. Winnie , his fellow colleague is going back to Malaysia the next day as her hometown was there. Winnie carried a torch for Jack from the start and today, she decided to confess to him. During the night, she messaged Jack and told him her feelings indirectly but obviously. Winnie asked if they were to remain friends or more than that. Kept in the dark, she did not know that Jack and May was a couple. Winnie did not know May existance thou.



Jack called May as usual in the night and chatted for a while. Jack decided to tell May about Winnie's confession. May took it easy as it was quite expected. Thou she felt a sting but she remain calm as she knew Jack wouldn't cheat on her. Jack had to put down the phone and couldn't talk any longer as he had to go to work the next morning. He had to wake up at 5am. May stayed awake despite feeling tired to ensure Jack wouldn't be late for work as she knew Jack was has a bad habit of being late. At 5am, May started calling Jack and at 5.16am, he picked up the phone. Jack told May to stay awake for a while more and he would call back as soon he got ready. May happily waited for his call as she did not have much chances to talk to him and she was still qutie bothered over Winnie's sudden confession.



Finally, Jack called back. May was elated to hear his voice over the phone. 8mins passed and Jack hinted May that he was tired and wanted to sleep in the train. Reluctantly May agreed to stay by the phone while both of them go to sleep. May found herself still wide awake although she was sleepy. Perhaps she was lacked of sense security. She listened the phone and heard the train operator saying out the train station. She decided to hold onto the phone and wait for Jack's station to be announced so that she can wake him up. This way, he wouldn't sleep and miss his station. Suddenly, the phone was being hung up as the reception in the train was bad. Then she received a message from Jack that his battery was running low so it's best that they message. May was feeling terrible. Bothered by troubles, unable to share and couldn't help him in any way. She felt like crying but it was quite stupid to do so. She cried a little as she cover herself under the thick quilt. Quickly, she picked herself up and dry her tears.



In the noon, May went to school and Jack went to work. After school, May had to meet her sister to get some groceries. Jack finished his work and asked to meet May. May told Jack to meet her at the interchange so that they could go home together. Jack did not really promise to do so. May sat down at the chair by the interchange with her sister to wait for Jack to arrive. Jack then messaged her to ask if she could accompany him for a hair cut. May rejected him nicely as she was with her sister, they were with bags of groceries and their parents were waiting for the lunch they bought. It was late noon, she did not want to get a scolding from her parents. Her sister also told her parents that they were coming back home soon. Jack threw a temper and told May to go home and not wait for him. He said it was useless to meet her at the interchange when he can take the train home which was faster. May thought that it was the sake for them to meet, even for a while. Jack thought otherwise. He felt that since May couldn't even follow him for a hair cut, it was stupid to meet her there just to go home. He could go home alone, without her. It was no big deal. May was waiting there for almost half an hour already. Her sister has been nagging her to go home. May was angered by Jack's messages. Feeling disappointed. She went back home without him. She couldn't understand who's fault was it. In the bus, she indulge herself with sad songs. Tears began to welled up in her eyes, but she stop them from rolling down. Perhaps it's pride. She did not want to be the weaker party.

They reached home. She was still listening to her music while crossing the road. Suddenly, a car was heading for her without her knowing. She was so deep in thought. Her sister shouted at her but she couldn't hear anything. The strangers stared at her thinking she might get injured. Reality sinked in, she turned to her right and saw the car. Luckily, the car slowed down seeing her. It was so near to her and she was shocked by it. Immediately, she ran to safety awkwardly. When she went back home, feeling down, she lay on her bed thinking again. Her parents outside was complaining and heard their conversation.

" What's with May? She is like so lazy! Eat, sleep , eat, sleep. Now she went to sleep again!"

She wasn't sleeping. She was just on the bed, eyes opened. The accusations went on and she stood up to close the door. She on her music loudly and isolate herself in her own world...
